The following list of interesting events which took place in the area covered by the old Caboolture Divisional Board has been compiled by Mrs Esme Sampson, Caboolture Historical Society.
1869 | First settlers at Burpengary Creek. |
1871 | First church at Upper Caboolture. Methodist Church, constructed of slabs with a bark roof. |
1872 | Brand Registrar. First registered brand was that of Hon. Louis Hope, Kilcoy Station. |
1873 | First ferry over Caboolture River. |
1875 | 17th of February. Good Templars Hall opened at Mooloolah. |
1875 | 28th of August. Primary school opened at Buderim, near Mooloolah. |
1877 | 16th of March. Camp Flat School opened. |
1885 | Electric telegraph reached Woodford on 17th of October. |
1888 | 11th of June. North Pine to Caboolture Railway opened. |
1890 | 1st of February. Caboolture to Landsborough Railway opened. |
1891 | 1st of January. Landsborough to Yandina Railway opened. |
1893 | Steamer "Dicky" ran ashore at Caloundra. |
1909 | Railway reached Woodford. Opened by Sir William McGregor. |
1912 | Methodist Church built in Woodford. |
1923 | Baptist Church built in Woodford. |
