Welcome back - Betty Woodall and Judy Ilsley

Transcribers are wanted - there are quite a few items in the library that need indexing.  The Courier Mail Obituaries/Death notices for instance.  This involves typing the names and date of the event for each day.  It is not hard work, but there are quite a few to be done.  The sooner they are done, the sooner they will be available for use in the Library.  There are other items that need indexing as well.  So if you can type, and you wish to help, please talk with either David, Janet or Joanne.

There has been some confusion over what is required for Library Duty.  It is not really Library duty, it is Club roster duty.  More people are required for this on a regular basis.  It involves just being there, in case we get any visitors or to answer the phone and take a message if necessary.  It is not hard, and has nothing to do with the library at all!!!...There is plenty of time to do your own research whilst being on duty...in fact sometimes we go for weeks without a visitor/potential new member, or a phone call.  So if you think you would like to help out with Club roster duty, speak with whoever is on duty, while you are there.

Fees ($30 single membership and $40 dual membership) are due from 1st May, 2009.  You need to be a financial member to vote at the AGM....which will be on the 13th June 2009.

If you would like your copy of the Hindsight mailed out to you, each quarter, the cost will be $10....payable when you pay your membership fees.
